Wayne and Maria Wright own and operate 3 successful pizzerias in the Sterling/Rock Falls area. Angelo's Pizzeria opened in 1968 and turned into the thriving business it is today. The small diner- like building on 12th Avenue in Rock Falls still has the same feel it has had for the last 50 years.Wayne and Maria decided to take the next step in 1982 and open a larger, family-friendly dine-in restaurant in Sterling. Angelo's II quickly became a favorite gathering place for friends and family to share a satisfying meal.In 1992, Wayne and Maria listened to their busy customers and opened a convenient delivery location on East Third Street in Sterling. They quickly outgrew that location, so they reopened in their current location in 2001.Even with the 3 locations in the Sterling/Rock Falls area, customers were still willing to wait in line to dine at Angelo's II! In December 2004, after numerous ideas and sets of blueprints Angelo's II opened in a beautiful new building. Inspired by Wayne's love of antiques and stained glass, the new decor contained many items from his personal collection. Angelo's II casual accommodations offer much larger dining crowds family-friendly atmosphere with a very large dining area and full bar, complete with big screen tv's.Customers coming back for Angelo's unique pizza and pasta recipes have been family favorites for over 50 years and for more..
